Respondent Support
Overview
The Office of Wellbeing offers support to undergraduate and graduate students of Reynolda Campus who are named as Respondents in cases regarding sexual misconduct through a Title IX report.
Support Services
Respondent support offers a range of services designed to help students navigate the university’s Title IX process. This includes:
- Non-judgmental assistance: Providing a space for students to seek support without judgment
- Process explanation: Clarifying rights and responsibilities, explaining policies like the Title IX and non-Title IX Sexual Misconduct Policy, and helping students understand grievance procedures.
- Meeting accompaniment: Attending meetings and hearings with the student as a support person.
- Document review: Offering feedback and guidance on official forms and letters.
- Adherence to directives: Explaining and providing guidance on how to follow No Contact Orders.
- Resource referrals: Connecting students with relevant campus resources, as needed.
